Founded in 2025 by Deanna Politis, AFENDRA is the designer's love letter to the people, places, and artistic influences that have shaped her perspective on beauty. From the intimacy of shared moments and the storied landscapes of her heritage to the enduring influence of classical art, cinema, and sculpture, these references form the foundation of every collection.

Based in Sydney, AFENDRA is devoted to creating modern heirlooms; garments designed to be worn, treasured, and passed from one generation to the next. Every piece is thoughtfully designed and made in Australia in collaboration with skilled local makers and artisans, reflecting a commitment to craftsmanship, timeless design, and enduring quality.

A note from the designer

"For me, fashion has always been intertwined with memory, identity, and storytelling. The foundations of AFENDRA were shaped by the stories passed down through generations, particularly those of my grandparents, who migrated from the little islands of Greece to Sydney, carrying with them their resilience, traditions, and a deep appreciation for the beauty found in the world around them. From this came my own devotion to craftsmanship and the belief that every garment can hold meaning beyond its form. Each AFENDRA piece is created as part of a greater narrative; a reflection of where we come from, who we are, and who we are becoming."
